Here is her story.

A glowing, motherly light shines from within the moon. She’s a soft glow in the dark, she’s there when you call upon her to brighten the darkest of nights. She collects the wishes that are made upon shooting stars from her Star Weavers.

These creatures look like whales who swim through the night sky. As they glide through the night they create waves of stars which for us look like shooting stars. Once the Weavers bring the wishes to Glow the Faerie, she keeps them safe while granting as many of the wishes as she can.

The original piece was created for my own Mum as a gift. Full of beads and sequins, she’s a real sparkly lady who lives in a star filled velvet sky. The following year I created a matching piece for her of the Star Weaver.

Whales are my mum’s favourite creature so it’s only right they live in the night sky with her Faerie of the Moon. The print comes with pearlescent white paint embellishments to give her an extra glow.
